Understand Us

A home for growing hearts and minds

We started My Little House with one belief: childcare in Bintulu should feel as warm and familiar as home — while giving every child the tools to grow with confidence.

Our Story

Growing together, every day

At My Little House, growth doesn't happen through worksheets — it happens in the small, everyday moments: a shared snack, a messy craft table, a song before nap time. Through gentle, consistent care, our activities are designed to support the whole child.

We are officially registered as My Little House Playschool Childcare Centre (Taska Rumah Kecilku), a licensed childcare centre operating in Bintulu since 2011.

Sarawak's own spirit of community and togetherness runs through everything we do, from how our teachers greet each child in the morning to how we celebrate festivals and milestones together as one big family.

The Whole Child

What our care supports

Gentle, everyday activities — conversation, play, routine and warm guidance — that help each child grow in their own time.

💛

Behaviour

We use patient, consistent guidance to help children feel secure, understood, and able to manage their emotions — the same way we would at home.

🤸

Fine & gross motor skills

From buttoning and drawing to running and climbing, our play is designed to build both the small, careful movements and the big, confident ones.

✨

Interest in learning

Curiosity is nurtured through exploration and play, not pressure — so children come to see learning as something joyful, not something to fear.

🗓️

Routine

Predictable daily rhythms help children feel safe and know what to expect next, building the confidence that comes from a settled, familiar day.

💬

Speech

Everyday conversation, storytelling, and songs help language grow naturally, the way it does in any warm, talkative home.

🎯

Our Mission

To nurture confident, curious, and kind children through play-based learning in a safe, loving environment — and to be a trusted extension of every family we serve in Bintulu.

🌤️

Our Vision

To be Sarawak's most trusted neighbourhood childcare home — where every child feels rooted, every family feels heard, and every day feels like growth.

Health & Safety

Your child's safety, our daily promise

We keep our caregiver-to-child ratios small — one teacher to every three babies in the infant room — so every child gets real attention. Each morning we check in with you about how your child is doing before they join the group.

Our premises are strictly no-smoking, a first-aid kit is kept on site, and we follow a clear sick-child policy: to protect the other children, we can't take in a child showing signs of a contagious illness such as hand-foot-and-mouth disease, fever, chickenpox or conjunctivitis until they've recovered.
